Assessment & Tax Information

STARTING IN 2017, PROPERTY TAXES ARE DUE ON JUNE 30TH OR THE LAST BUSINESS DAY IN JUNE.  IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE CONTACT THE TOWN OFFICE.

Tax Installment Payment Plan (TIPPs) is available to all taxpayers.  The Town of Vulcan is offering a convenient and economical method of paying your annual taxes on a monthly basis.  No interest is earned during the months of January to June and no penalties are levied from July to December.

  • No cheque writing
  • No postage costs
  • No lost or stolen cheques
  • No embarrassment of missing a payment
  • No penalties levied for late payment

All we require is a written agreement on a form available at the Town Office and a personal cheque marked “SAMPLE”.  The Town will then automatically debit your bank account on a monthly basis, based on your last year’s taxes.

Please come down to the Town Office to complete an agreement form or telephone 403-485-2417 for further information on how the plan works.

Please note that all applications must be in before December 13, 2016 to be eligible for the plan.  This time element is required to process the applications for automatic withdrawals commencing January 1, 2017.

If you are already on the plan, you do not need to reapply.
