2011/2012 Line Up
Saturday, November 19
Zeman, a 28-year-old
singer/songwriter from Carelton Place, Ontario, has brought his signature
Dave McCann and the Firehearts are on tour promoting their new recording Dixiebluebird. They describe the songs on the album as bruised country soul, heartfelt Americana, and southern tinged Rock and Roll. Playing in the Firehearts is long time guitarist Dave Bauer, multi-instrumentalist Pete Loughlin on bass, Tim Williams on the drums and Charlie Hase on the pedal steel guitar.
Jenny Allen has recently released her third album Blanket. She is a folk festival favorite with a sound that is country roots with a hint of pop. Though she’s from Calgary, listen carefully and you’ll hear a slightly southern-sounding accent in her singing voice. She has opened for artists such as Taj Mahal and Shawn Colvin.

Petunia plays a wide variety of musical styles that meld into ‘their own thing’, although they draw heavy influence from the rockabilly and western swing end of the spectrum. Last year, Petunia performed an original song “The Cowboy Waltz” on the television show “Wild Roses”. Petunia plays with the Vancouver band The Vipers.
