Ron Pelham Award Criteria Eligibility for Nomination:
*Have at least 5 years volunteer involvement with a group or organization
*Areas of volunteering must fall within the guidelines set out as cultural and/or recreational
*Volunteer service must have taken place within the Vulcan & District Recreational area
Nominees for the award do not qualify if:
*The nominee is currently a member of the Vulcan & District Recreation Board
*The nominee is a previous recipient of the Award
*The volunteer activities fall within the area of their direct employment
Cultural:
*Any volunteering on regular bases in the areas of art, drama, music, or theater which enhances the quality of life within the Vulcan and District Recreation area
Recreational:
*Any volunteering on a regular base in the area of athletics, community sports, clubs or service groups which enhances the quality of life within the community
Letters of Nominations Must Have:
*The name of the person being nominated
*The name of person/group who is nominating
*Contact information for both nominee and nominator(s)
*Define and describe the volunteer service provided to the community by the nominee
*Identify the years the nominee took part in the noted activities
*What impact did the volunteering have on the community at large
*Include any letters of support for your nomination
PLEASE NOTE:
The nominations forms will be kept on file for 5 years
All decisions regarding recipients of the Ron Pelham Award are at the discretion of the Vulcan & District Recreation Board
