Stay active this summer with these fun drop-in style activities.
Everyone is welcome - no registration or fee is required.
Programing will start July 19th and run weekly until August 25th
Mondays: FishingJoin the Recreation team for a relaxing morning of fishing. Those wishing to participate must bring their own gear. Time: 10 a.m-12 p.m. for ages 7-15 years old Location: Vulcan Fishing Pond Tuesdays: Floor Hockey Drop in for a morning of fun! Come out for a game of floor hockey while you wait for the pool to open in the afternoon. All participants must bring and wear a helmet. Time: 10 a.m-11 a.m. for ages 7-10yrs. 12 p.m-2 p.m. for ages 11-15yrs. Location: Vulcan Arena Wednesdays: Outdoor Games This day will be filled with all sorts of different games such as baseball or soccer and many more. Time: 10 a.m.-11 a.m. for ages 7-10 yrs. 12 p.m.-2 p.m. for ages 11-15 yrs. Location: Vulcan Prairie View Elementary Thursdays: Arts and Crafts See how creative you are! Come out and explore drawing, painting, mask-making and much more. There will be something new and interesting to try every week. Time:12:30 p.m.-2 p.m. for all ages Location: Swimming Pool Gazebo Fridays: Driving Range Meet at the driving range to practice your golf skills. Golfers must bring their own clubs. The first bucket of balls will be free. Time:10:00 a.m.-12 p.m. for all ages Location: Driving Range Drop-In Basketball: Wednesday Keep active with a fun and non-competitive game of basketball. No cost to play. For adults, high school and junior high ages. Time: 8:00 p.m. Location: CRC Star Gazing Sleepover: Members of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, Calgary Centre will have telescopes available for FREE public viewing of the Moon, also planets, star clusters, nebulae and much more! The fun and discovery is on, "cloudy or clear!" nights. Bring your questions about planets, space probes, stars and comets, using telescopes, or anything else to the Centre. Fun for all ages!
