Vulcan Recreation is offer virtual camps during this time of social distancing. please enjoy as we encourage adults and youth of Vulcan to explore new and exciting way to view sceince, crafts and exercise. Please veiw the schedule of events along with some activities may require some supplies. Videos will be posted the day of the activity and if you miss one please go back and enjoy all the past activities.

SUMMER SPECIALTY CAMPS

The focus of each camp is to gain confidence in a specific area of interest. They will make friends in a safe social  atmosphere while learning and developing skills in the camp of their choosing. Registration for all summer camps is now open please be advised that changes may occur as we work through the logistic.

This Basketball camp  is designed for young athletes of all ages and ability. Players will learn and develop their skill and fitness through fun filled games and drills.

When: July 20-24,
Grade 5-8, 4pm - 6pm
Grade 9-12, 7pm - 9pm

Here young players will learn and develop skills and teamwork in the game of  volleyball through games and drills. For all ages and skill levels.

A great way for youth to learn the fundamentals and mechanics of the game, safety, and lessons to be applied to life. Putting, chipping and full swing will be covered.

SUMMER ADULT PROGRAMMING

Adult recreation is always a big part of our summer. 

  1. Adult Slo-pitch League

Due to the current situation we are all facing, our April 16 AGM will be postponed to a future date yet to be determined. All recreation facilities are closed until further notice. We are also uncertain how this pandemic will affect the start of our season, as Goverment of Alberta has not started the discussion when facilities will open for 2020. Please keep an eye on the website as we will be posting all of our updates here. Thanks - and keep healthy and safe.

Update June 9, AHS will allow team sports to resume June 19.

Playoff will be the week of August 5

A series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing. Is a non-competitive, self-paced system of gentle physical exercise and stretching. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion.
