Vulcan Arena is a Seasonal facility. The arena accommodates competitive and recreational hockey, figure skating, family and public skating, and organized group activities.

The single most important piece of equipment is a helmet! Effective, Jan. 1, 2018, all users on the Ice when Pucks are in use will be required to wear a CSA approved helmet. All Ages!

General Rules & Guidelines

When you visit us at the Vulcan Arena, there are a few things to keep in mind. Please help us to maintain a healthy, clean Arena! Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the facility and within 5 meters of any entrance.

Anyone found on the premises with liquor in his/her possession without proper authorization will be asked to leave. Law Enforcement Officers may be called upon if necessary.
No Outside Food Permited. No warming or cooking devices allowed anywhere in the arena.
Profane or obscene language will not be tolerated on the arena premises.
Users must abide by their scheduled practice/game times. No players are allowed on the ice surface without their coaches being present and without the proper equipment.
Conduct in the arena that is deemed objectionable to the other patrons or employees will not be tolerated. Offenders will be asked to leave.
Dressing rooms are to be left in a neat and orderly manner and vacated within 30 minutes after rental time has ended.
No one is to be on the ice while the Ice Resurfacer is being operated, unless instructed by staff to assist. Wait until Ice Resurfacer gates are closed before going onto the ice.
Spectators found throwing debris onto the ice surface or floors or using vulgar language will be immediately ejected from the facility.
Please keep all fire exits, hydrants, doors or any other marked areas clear. Vehicles or bicycles blocking them will be towed or removed at the owner’s expense.
Town of Vulcan is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
The p.a. system and the time clock may not be used without permission of arena staff in charge.
Patrons are asked to report damages immediately to the arena staff.
Bicycles, skateboards, scooters, heelies and pets are not permitted within the facility.
Use of Vulcan Arena is at the user’s own risk.

Vulcan Minor Hockey

Vulcan Skate Club

Vulcan Skate club is a youth based program. Our focus is on fun, fitness and participation. Our most popular program is our Learn to Skate program which provides kids with the best foundation for all future ice skating sports or recreational skating. This takes place on Wednesdays from 5:15-6 pm and we take kids as young as 3. Our Star skate program offers opportunities for skaters to develop skating skills in the areas of ice dance, skating skills, free skate and interpretive skating.
